4. Hosting & Infrastructure
We host our platform on Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) — using Cloudflare Workers, Pages, R2 object storage and Hyperdrive, as well as the Cloudflare Zaraz tag manager. Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data (e.g. your IP address) to deliver, secure and accelerate the website. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, performant operation).
5. Database & Storage
We store your data with Neon (Neon, Inc.), a managed PostgreSQL service. The database runs in a data center within the EU (Frankfurt, AWS eu-central-1 region). Files you upload are stored in Cloudflare R2 (EU jurisdiction).
6. Email Services
For transactional emails (e.g. report links and confirmations) we use Twilio SendGrid (Twilio Inc., USA). Your email address and the message content are transmitted; to ensure deliverability, SendGrid also records delivery and open status.
7. Payment Processing
Payments are processed via Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Ireland). Your payment details (e.g. card or bank data) are collected and processed directly by Stripe; we do not store full payment data ourselves. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).
8. Analytics & Tracking
For analytics and product improvement we use — only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — PostHog (EU hosting) and, via Cloudflare Zaraz, Google Analytics 4, the Meta Pixel, the LinkedIn Insight Tag and Microsoft Advertising. You can manage your consent at any time via our cookie settings; without consent, no analytics or marketing cookies are set.
9. External APIs & Services
For address entry and location analysis we use Google Maps Platform services (Places, Maps and Solar API; Google Ireland Ltd.). When you search for an address, your input is sent to Google to return suggestions and geodata. We additionally evaluate public geospatial and cadastral data that has no personal reference to you.
10. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data based on applicable data protection laws.
11. Data Retention Periods
We store your data only as long as necessary for the respective purpose.
12. International Data Transfers
Some of the providers named above (e.g. Stripe, SendGrid, Google, Cloudflare) may process personal data in third countries, in particular the USA. Where this occurs, we base the transfer on appropriate safeguards under Art. 46 GDPR — the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
